Meet the Founder

Urban Alcove was founded by Andrew T. Lyons, an Austin, Texas native and Texas Tech University graduate with a business degree and a professional background in technology, cybersecurity, and customer service.

After spending several years traveling and experiencing homes, interiors, and everyday design in different parts of the world, Andrew became increasingly interested in how the details within a room can make it feel more personal and comfortable.

Urban Alcove began as a hands-on project combining that interest in home design with a desire to continue learning and working with evolving digital technology. What started as a personal project developed into an independent online store focused on distinctive home décor for customers who want to give their spaces more character.

Andrew remains directly involved in Urban Alcove’s product selection, website, operations, and customer support.

How Urban Alcove Operates

Urban Alcove is an online retailer and does not operate a public storefront or customer-accessible warehouse.

Depending on the product, orders are fulfilled from a location in the United States or China. Each product’s expected fulfillment location is disclosed on its product page under Shipping and Returns.

We currently serve customers at residential and business addresses within the contiguous United States. We do not ship internationally or to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. boxes.

Urban Alcove manages the customer relationship throughout the purchase, including order assistance, shipment support, returns, and refunds.
